Week 19 - What?! Where?! What Camera?

This is another significant week.

I can now reach for objects in front of me and play with them. Life will be so much more fun and interesting now that I can consciously interact with my favorite toys. I practiced rolling from stomach to back (from left to right only) some more, and, with a little bit of cheating help from daddy, I can even roll from my back to my stomach. I will start crawling soon enough and make mommy and daddy chase me all over town. Can't wait.

Meanwhile, my boycott against the bottle continued. Daddy kept trying to force it upon me. Nice try daddy. Better luck next week.

On Saturday, I hung out with my buddy Ryan again, but this time I got to hang with Evan too. We all got together at Auntie Cora and Uncle Dan's big new house. Awesome! Evan's play room is so big, colorful, and spiffy. I am so jealous. Mommy, Daddy, when will I get my big playroom?

Week 18 - Happy 1st Father's Day

So much happened this week.

I had my 4 months visit with my doctor on Tuesday. I am now 2 feet tall and 15 lbs 0.8oz. Amazing huh?

I continue to refuse the bottle. Mommy, daddy, grandpa, and grandma all tried to force it upon me, but I held them off easily. Making me feed from a bottle? Who do they think they are? I don't care if mommy started work again this week. NO to the bottle, I say.

On Saturday, I got to hang out with my buddy Ryan again and also met a new friend, Amanda, who is only two weeks older than me. I have met Ryan once before, but this was the first time we were both awake. Even though I am the youngest, I am just as big and heavy as my two friends. They both seem so mellow compared to me.

On Saturday night, I rolled over from my stomach to my back for the first time. I guess those tummy times are finally paying off. I actually like my tummy times now, if you can believe that.

Sunday was, of course, Father's day. Mommy and I got daddy a great gift. It was a picture frame with a cute poem and one of my picture inside. Daddy LOVED IT. Mommy is so sweet and inventive. Anyways, we all went to the Grove to have crepes and to walk around. There were so many people out and about. We went into "American Girl Place", which is an over the top doll shop. Daddy hopes that I never develop interests for this place. We shall see.

Daddy told me that he loves being my dad even though I torture him. He says that to mommy all the time. Not sure what to make of this. Anyways, eat out of my palms daddy...

RaisingCadence censored by the Chinese government !?!

Yahoo: China's censoring Flickr | CNET News.com

You have got to be kidding!!

The reason I created this blog is so that Lewina & I can share pictures of Cadence with friends and family, which includes my mom and dad who are currently living in China. What kind of messed up government censors to the point that prevents grandparents from seeing pictures of their granddaughter?

I finally let my daddy handles me, for half the time anyways. Mommy wasted no time in reaching for the camera for these rare precious moments.

I will be 4 months on Tuesday (6/12) and will see my pediatrician. She will tell me if I am getting a bit too chubby. Daddy hasn't see my neck in weeks.

Anyways, big trouble is brewing. Mommy is going to start work next week, and I have completely forgotten how to feed off of the bottle. Who is going to feed me? How am I going to eat? Find out in the next installment of RaisingCadence.
